Immortal Iron fist

IC PERMISSIONS

PHYSICAL CONTACT: He generally does not touch people who are strangers to him unless it is unavoidable (i.e., saving someone, healing them, being in a crowd). Culturally, he finds it disrespectful to be all over someone's personal space. However, with close friends and certain acquaintances, it's all good. He's a friendly and affectionate person after all, enjoys hugs just fine and is fond of pets.

Surprising him or unexpected actions can trigger a defensive response, because Lin Lie's first instinct is to lash out. Even his best friend got a punch to the face because he purposely scared him, and Lie didn't realize it was him.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Yup! He's a hero, and fighting is what he does. This man knows how to defend himself and is stronger than he looks. Just please discuss it with me beforehand so we can work things out.

RELATIONSHIPS: Lin Lie could always use more friends and mentors for sure, and I love chars having all sort of relationships, even fun negative cr. He's single, something even friends playfully mock him about. Romance/sex are more than welcome too if the characters click. He's never properly romanced someone or been romanced/flirted on first, so he doesn't have experience with those sorts of things. Please be patient.

PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Apparently he has strong mental defenses thanks to the Iron Fist / his chi that mostly work against being mind-controlled. Less so about telepathy. A psychic analysis of him might be pretty open, though: lots of worries about his family, the duty of his legacy, and a ton of self-doubt.

MAGICAL INFORMATION: Anyone with the ability to detect these things might notice that not only is there magic coursing through Lin Lie's body, but there are two different kinds that are in conflict at times. He can also sense magic to a degree due to both the Iron fist and the Fu xi shards; the latter ache/resonate with nearby magics depending if they're negative or positive.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Due to the shards of the Sword of Fu Xi being embedded in his arms, Lin Lie suffers from chronic pain and agony. Sometimes his hands tremble so much that he can't even pick up a pair of chopsticks or lift a teacup.

BACKTAGGING: All good. Life is busy, time is fake, this is a hobby that should be for fun and not and obligation.

THREADHOPPING: It depends on the circumstances. Generally, it can be a lot of fun, but don't do it if the thread is serious or locked.

FOURTHWALLING: I'm okay with it if it's ic for the character doing the 4th walling, like with Deadpool, Gweenpool, or Miguel O'hara. But just people being 'ey, you are a comic character in my universe' or knowing his life story without a good reason...then I'd rather not.

Lin Lie

Lin Lie is determined, a bit naive, and genuinely well-intentioned. He is aware of his youth and how he didn't gain the power of the Iron Fist the traditional way.

His insecurities make him often question whether he deserves the power he has been given and, at the same time, try to prove to the world and himself that he genuinely deserves the Iron Fist role. Despite what other people might think about how he came in possession of the Iron Fist, he really appreciate Shou Lao saving his life and considers the dragon a friend.

With the constant support of those around him, which he more often than not first refused, Lin Lie has been able to build and maintain the confidence to carry on, growing more confident in his abilities and perfecting his skills.

In the Marvel Rivals Game, his personality is bolder, both more confident and more arrogant, but the other key traits - good or bad - don't differ that much. He's still kind-hearted, loyal, and willing to fight to protect others no matter how much it might costs him.

The most notable traits are the red dragon marking on his right arm signifying the Iron Fist and, under the bandages, the green metal shards of the broken Fu Xi sword.

Mystic Energy Manipulation:

Lin Lie can generate and project the Sword's mystical energy, After the sword was shattered and several of its shards became embedded in his flesh, and use in a variety of ways:

· Enhanced Punch: His strikes are much stronger when encased in the sword's aura and are still effective against Chiyou's demons.

· Weapon Infusion: He can channel the energy of the shards in his hands into weapons such as swords, increasing their cutting power and destructibility

· Blade Generation: From the shards embedded in his forearms, Lin Lie can generate blades of the Sword of Fu Xi that protrude from his right hand.

· Slash Projection: Using slashing motions, Lin Lie can project the Sword's mystic energy as projectiles, greatly increasing the Sword's range.

Chi-Enhanced Physiology

After being bestowed the power of the Iron Fist, Lin Lie gained the ability to augment his physical and mental capabilities to superhuman levels:

Chi Manipulation: Through concentration, Lin Lie can harness his chi, to augment his physical and mental capabilities to enhanced levels.

Iron Fist Punch: Like every Iron Fist before him, Lin Lie is able to summon his chi and focus it into his hands, drawing upon the superhuman energy derived from the heart of Shou-Lao and make his fists inhumanly powerful.

Regeneration: Lin Lie can use chi to to heal his wounds. While he can use his chi to ease the pain from the shards in his skin, he cannot completely heal it, and sometimes the chi makes the pain worse.

Expert Martial Artist

He has trained under Shang-Chi, Danny Rand, Crescent, White Fox, and Sparrow the Thunderer, and has become an expert martial artist. He is proficient in Bajiquan, Wing Chun, and K'un-Lun's martial arts, but not a master of a single discipline. This also makes him an extremely skilled acrobat

Expert Swordsman

While not perfect, Lin Lie's swordsmanship has helped him hold his own against powerful and experienced warriors such as: the god Ares, the Black Knight and Chiyou's demons, fire goblins and wyverns.

Lin Lie is exceptionally good at solving complex puzzles. At eleven years old, he could attempt lockpicking his home door.

Weaknesses - Chronic Pain

Due to the shards of the Sword of Fu Xi being embedded in his arms, Lin Lie suffers from constant pain and agony. Sometimes his hands would tremble so much that he couldn't even pick up a pair of chopsticks. Training with Sparrow and later some guidance from Daredevil about how to manage the pain helped him mitigate the pain in his hands.

Lin Lie came into possession of the mystic sword of Fu Xi, given to him by his archeologist father right before he and Lin's older brother disappeared. Lin used the sword to ensure Chiyou, God of War, remained sealed away, as it was his family's sacred duty. He took on the name Sword Master and embarked on his quest to find his family and fight Chiyou's demons, and later joined the new Agents of Atlas during the War of the Realms. He stayed with the team while continuing to look for his family.

Some time later, Sword Master assisted his teammate White Fox with taking down a demonic Kumiho that had been terrorizing the South Korean countryside. While fighting the Kumiho and protecting White Fox, the Sword of Fu Xi was destroyed by a bite from the beast's jaws, with shards embedding into his arms and hands and leaving him scarred. The demonic Kumiho threw a wounded Lin Lie into a ravine, where he technically died before immediately being revived by the spirit Shou-Lao, freshly hatched from his egg. The dragon used his chi to keep Lie alive and granted him the power and title of the Iron Fist.

As the Iron Fist, Lin Lie is "untraditional." He became the Iron Fist without taking out the heart of Shou-Lao and thus did not possess the mark of the Iron Fist at first. Eventually, instead of defeating Shou-Lao, he was given the Iron Fist mark by a Celestial called the Progenitor after passing his judgment. The full story can be found in his wiki entry.
